This is Truely an incredible find! This Parade magazine was never circulated on the intended date because President Kennedy
was shot before it could be released. The Washington Report is titled "Is Jacky Kennedy Tired Of The White House?"
and is featured on the cover. She is described as a quiet, sophisticated lady. The death of her premature sone is mentioned,
and that she "seemed happier away from the White House". Described is her banishment of a stepsister from the white
house for supporting an opposing cantidate, and how she enjoys going on trips with her husband. Conflicts with her mother
about hairdos, The angry resignation of her social secretary, her relationships with her kids, and how she was decorationg
the rooms of the White House. This is a unique and personal look into the life of Jacqueline Kennedy immediately before the
death of her husband.
On the inside cover is "Walter Scott's Personality Parade" Which has questions and answers about rumors surounding
various celebrities. The first question is about Bobby Kennedy and if he will resign as attorney general because his poll
ratings, regarding the civil rights program, could hurt the president.
Also featured in this section are questions about Lord Home, Ricky Nelson, Kay Summersbury and more.
The picture on the cover is of diane McBain, (cover reads "Diane McBain: She wants a husband"). ther e is an
article about her and one about Margret Sanger and Her 50 Years of crusading. She made great strides in the early birth control
movement. She was 85 and bedridden at the time of this print.
Some of the advertisements are fore Hushpuppy shoes, new Kleenex Tissues, bayer asprin, Many more.
I came across a small stack of these at a flea market, and can't find any info on them on the internet, probably because
they were never released. They are somewhat yellowed, with a few minor bends and tears on the edges, but all very readable,
with no major structural damage.
This publication is dated December 1, 1963, and labled for "The Journal Gazette", Fort Wayne Indiana.
